Rooted & Rising: Finding Balance in Times of Change
Friday, September 27th
Stolte Grove, Mill Valley
10:30 AM - 4:30 PM
In the wake of autumn's equinox, as nature demonstrates the wisdom of balance between light and shadow, we gather to explore our own capacity for equilibrium amid the world's uncertainties. This transformative nature-immersion workshop honors the seasonal teaching of finding our center, guiding participants through the delicate dance between rootedness and rising—between deep self-care and compassionate action in our interconnected world.
Like the trees that know when to release and when to hold, you'll discover how to metabolize the challenges of our times while cultivating the inner resources needed for sustained engagement with healing our world. Through profound connection with the natural world, the earth becomes our greatest teacher for integrating the full spectrum of our emotions—grief, rage, joy, and love—through reciprocal relationship that guides us toward grounded presence and authentic action.

Opening Our Hearts with Nature
An exploration of nature as a gateway to gratitude, patience, appreciative joy, compassion, and interdependence.
Embracing Change & Finding Balance
Nature meditations to help us find balance while accepting change with an open heart. Each day is a different exploration of the changing seasons, our aging bodies, our minds & thoughts, feelings/emotions, and how we react to more global events such as climate change.
Exploring the Elements as a Refuge
An exploration of the elements as a refuge during challenging times.
Nature Meditations exploring our relationship with the earth, interconnections, gratitude, interbeing, reciprocity, and right action. Meditations on the “Work that Reconnects” and sourcing ways to lean into love and compassion, as we move through both our inner and outer worlds.
Cultivating Emotional Resilience in Challenging Times
This week, we explore how to utilize nature-based practices to develop greater emotional awareness and resilience. We'll learn to attune to the wisdom of the natural world, using it as a mirror to understand our inner landscape better.
Like the phoenix rising from the ashes, we can emerge from our fears and challenges with greater wisdom and strength. By learning to work skillfully with our emotions, we not only reduce our own suffering but also become better equipped to contribute positively to our world in crisis.

“This was a magical experience. I loved the nature and mix of yoga and meditation. Kyyio was very in tune and listened to my limitations and made accommodations for me and checked in to make the experience personal and unique. I felt more connected to my own body and spirit as well more connected to the earth”.
Jessica, Mill Valley, CA
“I had such a wonderful experience with Kyyio. Her attention to detail is beyond. I felt so inspired and connected after a day with her. I would highly recommend”.
Gina, Sausalito, CA
“From the moment we met, it was clear that Kyyio was not only knowledgeable but deeply passionate about the environment and the practice of mindfulness. She shared great information about the natural and cultural history of the area, as well as the native and medicinal uses of the plants around us. The meditation sessions allowed me to connect with the land on a profound level and opened up my senses to the beauty of the world around us. The combination of mindful walking, gentle yoga, and mindfulness was perfect. It provided a great balance between moments of silence for personal reflection and connection time with the group. This mindfulness in nature experience was a five-star journey of self-discovery, relaxation, and connection with nature and fellow participants. Highly recommend.”
