Rooted & Rising: In the Company of Trees

Saturday, May 2 · 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM ·

Stolte Grove, Mill Valley

On the morning after Beltane, when the forest is at its most alive, we gather to tend our own inner fire. Drawing from Joanna Macy's Work That Reconnects, forest bathing, and somatic practice, this day-long immersion moves through gratitude, grief, expanded perspective, and renewed purpose — not bypassing the pain of these times, but metabolizing it together, in the company of trees.

For anyone who feels the weight of the world and wants to stay present, connected, and purposeful without burning out.

Sliding scale and partial scholarships available.

Awake in the Wild

Live: Daily Nature Meditation

7:30 AM Pacific / 10:30 AM Eastern

Earth Day falls right in the middle of this week — and what better way to honor it than by actually stopping to feel our connection to the living world. Each morning we'll gather online to breathe, settle, and remember our belonging to something larger than the news cycle. A grounding practice for staying present and engaged without burning out.

‍ ‍April 20-24th

Let stress drift on the breeze and your worries roll away with the waves, as we dive into an exploration of mindfulness in nature. In a NYMF workshop, you will be immersed in nature and cultivate a receptive, embodied quality of attention where deep connection and love are more accessible.

Tune into the earth's rhythms and vibrations and let the earth come through you.

Profound states of joy, peace and wonder may arise.

Awake in the Wild Nature Meditation Library:

Opening To Love

This week we explored how nature practice can open us up to the aspects of love taught by the Buddha: loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity.

Opening Our Hearts with Nature

An exploration of nature as a gateway to gratitude, patience, appreciative joy, compassion, and interdependence.

Embracing Change & Finding Balance

Nature meditations to help us find balance while accepting change with an open heart. Each day is a different exploration of the changing seasons, our aging bodies, our minds & thoughts, feelings/emotions, and how we react to more global events such as climate change.

Exploring the Elements as a Refuge

An exploration of the elements as a refuge during challenging times.

In Honor of Earth Day

Nature Meditations exploring our relationship with the earth, interconnections, gratitude, interbeing, reciprocity, and right action. Meditations on the “Work that Reconnects” and sourcing ways to lean into love and compassion, as we move through both our inner and outer worlds.

Cultivating Emotional Resilience in Challenging Times

This week, we explore how to utilize nature-based practices to develop greater emotional awareness and resilience. We'll learn to attune to the wisdom of the natural world, using it as a mirror to understand our inner landscape better.

Like the phoenix rising from the ashes, we can emerge from our fears and challenges with greater wisdom and strength. By learning to work skillfully with our emotions, we not only reduce our own suffering but also become better equipped to contribute positively to our world in crisis.

“This was a magical experience. I loved the nature and mix of yoga and meditation. Kyyio was very in tune and listened to my limitations and made accommodations for me and checked in to make the experience personal and unique. I felt more connected to my own body and spirit as well more connected to the earth”.

Jessica, Mill Valley, CA

“I had such a wonderful experience with Kyyio. Her attention to detail is beyond. I felt so inspired and connected after a day with her. I would highly recommend”.

Gina, Sausalito, CA

“From the moment we met, it was clear that Kyyio was not only knowledgeable but deeply passionate about the environment and the practice of mindfulness. She shared great information about the natural and cultural history of the area, as well as the native and medicinal uses of the plants around us. The meditation sessions allowed me to connect with the land on a profound level and opened up my senses to the beauty of the world around us. The combination of mindful walking, gentle yoga, and mindfulness was perfect. It provided a great balance between moments of silence for personal reflection and connection time with the group. This mindfulness in nature experience was a five-star journey of self-discovery, relaxation, and connection with nature and fellow participants. Highly recommend.”
